Congratulations to our graduates who will be leaving us and moving on to their elementary school years. We hope their preschool time at Small Wonders was a happy and rewarding experience.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, we will have our orientation for 4:00PM – 6:00PM. All students should attend with their families. All paperwork, changes of clothes, and bedding should be brought in that night. Also, parents will receive the new school handbook for the 2025 – 2026 school year. If you know of anyone interested in our center, please have them call us! All of our children that are returning to Small Wonders will receive enrollment forms. Please fill out and return your forms to us by June 15th. All physical forms must be updated if needed. There is no registration fee for returning students. All forms should be returned, along with the first week’s tuition on or before orientation night.

Special Happenings

Our Trike-a-thon will be on Thursday, May 15, 2025 (indoors). If your child does not attend on Thursday, May 15th, he/she may participate (tuition free), just for the trike-a-thon (1/2 day pick-up). We would like all to participate. Children will bring their bikes, trikes, or scooters to school and will do 5 laps. Permission slips will be sent home prior to May 15th. Children will need a signed permission slip and a helmet in order to participate. Donations will be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We have been very successful in the past and hope to be this year as well.

The children will be doing daily lessons concerning bicycle safety! It is a lot of fun for them as well as an important lesson.

During the month of May, evaluations will be done on all children who are enrolled at Small Wonders in our morning preschool program. This evaluation should be read, signed, and returned to Small Wonders, so that we may include it in your child’s file. This is a state regulation, so please return your child’s evaluation to Small Wonders as soon as you sign it! If you wish to make a copy for your records, you may do so, however, we do need the original for our files.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the children who will be graduating from Small Wonders (children who will be attending Kindergarten in fall of 2025) will have the opportunity to have their graduation pictures taken by A&G Photo. Children will wear light blue caps and gowns, provided by Small Wonders. Clothes worn underneath should have a collar, and hair should be worn so the graduation cap will fit (no ponytails please). Envelopes will be sent home prior to graduation pictures, along with package prices and information. If you have any questions, please see Marilyn. If this is not your child’s day and you wish to have their picture taken, please bring them in for 9:30AM.

Monday, May 26, 2025, is Memorial Day. There will be no school that day.

On Friday, June 6, 2025, we will close at 4:00PM due to graduation preparation for the following day.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, we will have our graduation ceremony for the Small Wonders Class of 2025. The ceremony will be held at 10AM indoors. Graduates (children who will be attending Kindergarten in fall of 2025) should arrive at Small Wonders by 9:30AM. Parking will be limited, please park in the grass. Anyone is invited to attend, but seating is limited so you may need to stand. Doors will open at 9:15AM. 

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Small Wonders will have a “Special Day” to end our school year. Please dress your child with a hat and sneakers for outdoor fun. We will have a pizza party (the menu will be posted). Pony rides will be provided by Stony Creek Farm in Swansea. We will also provide morning and afternoon snacks. Please provide a water bottle for your child. Children who do not regularly attend on Thursdays may come for half a day. All half day children will need to be picked up by 12:00PM. 

The last day of school at Small Wonders for this school year is Friday, June 13, 2025. Please remember to take your child’s change of clothes, nap items, etc. home with you during the last week of school.

Please remember to make sure your child has a water bottle daily. Warmer weather is coming, and we need to keep hydrated. Additionally, if your child is wearing a dress, please be sure they are wearing shorts underneath.
