We hope that you are having a happy and safe summer. We are definitely looking forward to another fun year at Small Wonders!
Small Wonders invites you to attend our Orientation / Open House on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 4PM – 6PM. We need to update our files and make contact with the children and their families prior to the start of the school year program.
If you have forms, including medical forms, to be completed (they expire one year from enrollment), please be sure to return them on our Orientation / Open House night. If your enrollment forms are already completed (new registrations), then we will check in with you on Orientation / Open House night for any changes.
The first week’s tuition is also due on Orientation / Open House night. Please see the attached tuition rates. Parents who are registering their child for the first time need to submit a one-time registration fee of $50.00. If you have not paid this fee, it will be due on that evening. After paying the first week’s tuition on August 19th, the next tuition payment will be due on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for the following week. Tuition payments need to be paid one week ahead throughout the school year as stated in the tuition policy, which is in the handbook. You will receive an updated handbook on Orientation / Open House night.
All of our children require a change of clothes to be left at the center. Included should be bottoms, a top, underwear, and socks. Please remember that although shorts are appropriate when school starts, they should be switched to pants as the weather gets cooler. Please label clothes with your child’s name, put them in a labeled bag, and bring them with you to Orientation / Open House night. If your child wears diapers / pull ups, please be sure it is the kind with tabs on the side.
Small Wonders policies for the 2026 – 2027 school year will be given to each family on Orientation / Open House night. Please be sure to read it carefully and have your questions answered before leaving that evening.
Openings are still available for morning and full day programs. Family and friends are invited to attend with you if they wish to tour our center. Registration forms will be available at this time, or they may call 508-379-0896 before August 19, 2026, and we can mail them ahead of time.
The first day of school will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026. It is important to have all your paperwork completed prior to this date so our attention can be devoted to your children. Any forms that are not completed for your child’s file could result in his/her registration being revoked. The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), which provides our license, is very strict about this. A checklist will follow this newsletter reminding you of all forms that are needed.
If you cannot attend Orientation / Open House night, please complete the forms and send them to Small Wonders, along with the first week’s tuition payment as soon as possible to secure your child’s enrollment.
Attached to this newsletter you will find a “Preschool Readiness” checklist. Please complete it and return it to us at Open House. This will allow us to better understand your child’s abilities as they start a new year at Small Wonders.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call or text Marilyn at 401-374-7299 or leave a message at 401-334-5011. Messages can also be left at Small Wonders by calling 508-379-0896.
For the 2026 – 2027 school year, please note our hours of operation:
- ½ day hours will be 7AM – 12PM. Please be sure to pick up your child by 12 noon.
- Full day hours will be 7AM – 4:30PM. Full day hours are subject to change during school vacation weeks due to low enrollment.
Enjoy the rest of your summer! We will see you on August 19th. Small Wonders will start the 2026 – 2027 school year on September 8, 2026.
